Disney was founded in 1923 by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney and started out as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio before being reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions. It established itself as a leader in the american animation market before going into live film production and television. Disney has gone on to produce classics such as The Jungle Book, Cinderella, The Lion King, and of course one of its first creations and now used as its logo Mickey Mouse. Walt also had a vision of a place for children and adults to have fun at the same time and so on July 18 1955 Disneyland was opened to the public and has gone from strength to strength ever since attracting visitors from all over the world culminating in a series of disney theme parks all over the world.
